I am trying to “roll my own “ hyperfilter . I have the basic core element ,beautiful 2.25”ID x 24 “ long AL 6061 T6 , type 3 hard anodized cylinders plus other parts to structurally build the filtration system for a fraction what a commercially bought one would cost .
I would buy the MS 13 X ,AC,and Monoxygon in bulk and pack them with the filter pads in between.
‘The question is , can the above mentioned filter medias be paired with the Aluminum type 3 hard anodized surface , or could there be electrogalvanical corrosion or other issues that I am not aware of ? It seems some companies offer stainless steel canisters to go inside their filter towers if one does repack their own filters , so maybe there is a reason for that .
Any input appreciated.
