I just heard the news that July has been the 15th consecutive record-breaking hottest month on our planet.

Can anyone share observations on coral bleaching this year? Especially, in the Caribbean and in Hawaii.

I saw a recent report on the great barrier reef saying the bleaching its a bad as they have ever seen. One particular area where there is a single coral called the 'Monolith' that has grown to its current size over 1000+ years being in particularly bad shape. The dive guide saying that it was almost glowing it was in such distress. Very sad to watch and even worse knowing that its probably not going to improve either.

Thanks. I read this in the news some time ago but was interested in what's going on in Northern Hemisphere.
