If the tank was filled by a qualified filling station and the compressor used pumped in good clean air, than there is no real limit to the time it can sit in the tank.
Nevertheless, why keep it in? Dive it!!!
For myself, not that it happens too often, I would tend to use in within 3 months. It doesn't get to it anyway.
