How to handle "friendly" or "curious" sea life?

All I can say is just dive safely around them. I've had a harbor seal took my fin right from my feet before. Also had a sea lion ran me out of his backyard, had some dolphins making a wall when I got close to their babies. Another instance was when I was doing my Advance open water for navigation, while swimming and counting the kicks up to 100ft, some of the dolphins helped me lost my concentration. But the one animal I hate are the California bat rays. I had one that was about 6 feet and started pushing me out of this large spot, it didn't have the patiences to let me move out, it just threaten to sit on me, and after all that, the fat ray just slept. Reminds me of how lazy and fat I was...:confused:
