How to mount the gopro 12 (underwater case)

So I just purchased a gopro 12, along with the underwater case. The pic shows my current setup. I want to mount the gopro between the lights. I was looking at a double ball mount with a butterfly, but it would raise the camera too high above lights. I'm also thinking I could drill out one of the gopro mounts.

I am open to suggestions.

Seems like a simple tripod adapter with a 1/4” screw through the bar from below would work. Something like this:


Is this along the lines of what you’re picturing?

ETA: Just realized @mattfish suggested a similar approach. Apologies for the duplication.
 
Thanks guys, turns out I had a tripod mount that came with I didn't see. I ended up using a 1/4-20 hex head, although the thread in the bar is fine and the thread in the tripod mount is course. So I used a course hex head and used force 😁 Looks good, so thank you again.
