badmojo:
Hoping to get out and do some freediving (have buddy coming from Canada who doesn't scuba) this coming weekend, hopefully conditions will have improved by then.
Yes, when visitors come to town you MUST go to the beach, but TWC says winds will be out of the northeast & east Friday and Saturday. How about taking the visitors to the Keys to snorkel? OR, there's a trip to Ocala organizing for this weekend, and the springs are calling!

The wind has died down at LBTS but it's still all silted-up and they haven't cleared the tons of weeds off the beach yet. Things are getting back to normal. About half the traffic lights work but I hear that Marvel's place still has no electric and they're supposed to boil drinking water.

Next week we should be back to 100%. Somebody needs to organize a post-hurricane shore dive for November 12th!

Nice weather, but if they're recommending no swimmers around the inlet then I'm glad I'll be in Ocala this weekend... besides, the water is silty from a week of winds and probably won't be all that clear by the weekend.

So... back to normal routine, which means we can drop this thread... it's been an experience! Let's NOT do it again next year lol...
