Last week around the Dive Paradise dock they were scooping up trash bags full of sargassum. During my shore dives there, large mats of the seaweed overhead made me feel like I was diving in a cave because it blocked the sunlight. It wasn't a problem, though, as it stayed floating on the surface and didn't interfere with underwater activities.
