I'm a Floridian by choice and glad you'll be joining us, Sam! You've mentioned caves a couple times, sounds like that is a major part of your decision. I lived in Gainesville and learned to dive there back in the 90s. That college town is more of a city now, but I don't imagine the diving has changed much. We loved being in the middle of all those great springs, and received excellent training. I think living there is very different than living in any beach/tourist area, and you might want to explore the possibilities. I don't know anyone there anymore, but it doesn't sound like meeting people is hard for you
