We are leaving for a trip to Cozumel on Saturday.
Needless to say, we were worried about the hurricane/tropical storms in the area. Here is what our dive center told us:

"Diving was shut down as a precaution Monday and Tuesday, but it resumes normally today and we don't expect there to be any negative consequences from TS Chantal since there was no wind at Cozumel -- you may know that the storm's
circulation center never got closer than 200 miles to Cozumel."

I just heard basically the same thing from a dive operator in Cancun. They said everything is great and not affected. We'll see.

We're OK! The sun is back..... and we're ready to rumble again!!!! We only had Rain and some wind. Ocean yesterday was kind of heavy. That's all. So come to paradise, it's still is.

From Cozumel:
"Today, the wind's dead calm and the skies are sunny with a few wispy clouds, air temp a little cooler than normal-diving has resumed 100% as normal and conditions in the water were excellent yesterday (there was no effect on visibility at all).

Looks like there's nothing upsetting on the near tropical horizon-the disturbance off Puerto Rico should turn north to Bermuda today."
