Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a weather forecast site that also gives an infrared water satellite image of the area of interest, so that I can get a fairly good estimation of what the water temperature will be there.

Cheers, thanks.

The only thing I can think of is this:

Marine Weather : Weather Underground

The problem here is that it is surface temperature; this gives you an idea, but it's not really what you want to know, which is below the surface. On Wunderground, you can also get a weather forecast, or google Weather Pixie.

Keep in mind that these satellites generally only sample the temperature of the water at the very surface. IR does not penetrate far in water (of course the satellites are passive receivers of IR rather than bouncing it off the surface). They do give you a good idea of trends of course.
