My brother in law sails around the Caribbean every year, his boat is the Ivory Star and he has run across real pirates and believe me they are nothing to joke or laugh about. Maybe if you had eve met any of those scumbags you would understand.

Actually Pirate speak comes from the first portrayal of Long John Silver on the Big screen. So has nothing to do with real pirates.
