I'm with you Pan, Whalesharks are just magical. Roxanne and I have been lucky enough to swim with them twice before in Roatan.
We will also be going on the Whaleshark excursion during the Invasion because getting in the water with theses animals never gets old.

We are seriously considering but airfare from IAH is resting at $530 pp right now. That is ridiculous!!!

While I don't have a crystal ball and world event can change this. Roxanne and I have been on many trips and I have found the best rates for fights are typically 10-6 weeks before arrival and the best time to search for flights is Tuesday & Wednesday midday.

Also I like using Kayak.com to search and watching rates over time to see rates fall and rise during the weeks to find a baseline price. I will say if you see a VERY LOW rate don't wait it could be a Airline glitch but the price is valid.

Make up dates that fit my scenario 6-10 weeks from now and see if that works for you also.

If anyone has any other tips please share.

Keep looking on different days and different sites too.

Last I checked, I found coach from Austin through IAH for 486pp and 1st class for about 980-1k before miles/points come into play.

Thanks for the afternoon pick-me-up dive video. It's always great to be reminded how nice the vis is in Cozumel.I really like to see interspecies interaction, like the French, Grey, and Queen Angelfish getting a free meal when the sea turtle tears away at the vegetation.
