Is the 17th july till the 1st Aug too late for the Sardine Run?

Hi all,

I am desperate to get in on a Sardine Run trip without spending to much. There is an opening from the 17th July till the 1st of Aug... is this far too late? As I know, the run lasts between beginning June till end Aug. I really don't want to be there and have missed it all. Am I taking to great a chance with these dates?

Truth is, I was hoping to mix this with some shark diving as well... do the run from 17th till the 24th and then perhaps try cage diving or Tiger diving for 4-5 days after? Am I being silly with the timing and the season (for shark diving)? I'm a photographer so I'm after photo ops

PS. late July is probably the most realistic opportunity for me as the World Cup is on in June til mid July...

You could be alright in in July, think the run might be late the water temp. is high for this time of year. But no body can predict when they will be here, this link normaly has good up dates Sardine Run Sardine Migration, sardines South Africa
