Join Backscatter staff on an epic expedition to the heart of the coral triangle: Wakatobi, Indonesia. Pairing world class reefs with top notch photo instruction, the Backscatter Wakatobi expedition is a perfect opportunity for shooters of all levels.

Situated on a beautiful tropical island in the remote and peaceful Wakatobi archipelago in the Banda Sea, Wakatobi Dive Resort offers what many consider to be the best reef diving in the world.

Blessed with a house reef where you can begin your dive only 60 feet from the dive center, Wakatobi is often described as a live aboard with a built-in beach! In addition to the spectacular house reef, there are several dozens of easily accessible dive sites offering incredible marine life diversity, color and natural splendor.

With three afternoon seminars covering topics related to underwater photography technique and image editing, and unlimited diving on the house reef, this is a fabulous opportunity to take your skills up a notch. Interested in trying out the latest in underwater imaging technology? Our trip leaders will bring a selection of demo gear that will be available to check out. After each day of diving, we’ll project the group’s images and offer tips and constructive criticism.
