Kelp around Vancouver? Where?

I'm interested in finding some Kelp fields around Vancouver to dive around. Are there any spots resonably close to Vancouver?

The only places I've seen bull kelp around Vancouver are Lighthouse Park (long walk) and under the Lions Gate Bridge (bad viz, current and boats). You could make a day of it and take the ferry to Victoria where it's hard to stay away from kelp (on the Juan De Fuca side).
