Last weekend I had the most wonderful tasting fish at a friends place. I was surprised to learn that the fish had been boiled, and the recipe so easy. You can substitute other types of firm fleshed fish.
This is what he gave me. The Zatarain's is what gives it the wonderful flavor. We ate it by itself with a salad.
KINGFISH BOIL
1) Bring water to boil
2) Add 1 Bag of Crab Boil (Zatarain)
3) Boil Seasons for 15 mins. (season water)
4) Remove bag
5) Add fish to boiling water ( boil till fish comes to top)
6) Remove fish and put into pan and pour melted butter over it
7) Let cool a little bit.
8) Grab Cold beer and be prepared for your tongue to slap your brains out!
It doesn't matter if the kingfish is fresh or frozen. Cut into 1 inch squares
with no skin or bones. Kingfish is mackerel.
