We visited the LC marine institute last year and it was a cool place with nice people, but it was kind of run down. We also met some of the researchers during Trivia Night at Little Cayman Beach Resort - very nice and smart people - and they win the prize bottle of wine every week.
It is good that they are getting some funds from the US National Science Foundation to upgrade and expand their services. They care a lot about the health of the Caribbean reef system and I do too!
