Rough? Maybe. Uninformed and hooked up on an internet T1 line? Absolutely.
The published story says nothing.
Hypo: These bags were handed off to a freight expediter who cleared through customs and was to deliver them to the Ritz Hotel awaiting the impending arrival of the owner Sheik Yabouti and his New Year's eve entourage. The freight handler stopped at the local pet store and some local ruffians stole the bags. After riffling through them- they discarded them in the dumpster.
How about that for a set of "facts"? Newspaper articles and any media story is always lacking in detail- nor do they care about accuracy. They're selling newspapers.
It will probably not be as I described. But it won't make the same splash as this "let's blame TSA" thread.
