Someone started a 2nd thread on this, and I posted a followup there. Just in case someone has marked this thread, let me repeat things here:

Call Mares Customer Service, number above, and tell them you want to get your Morphos "retrofitted". Do NOT say "recall". They will tell you there isn't one. It may also be helpful to tell them that you know your serial number is in the range affected. They'll give you a return authorization number and you can send it to CT.

I have had an interesting read here as I am about to buy my first BC - a Morphos original model not a twin. I will check the serial number but can any users of this model please confirm that it is fine. The twin costs another £180 in the UK!:( :confused:
