OUR NEXT MEETING IS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18TH AND
WE HAVE A SPECIAL PRICE ON A NITROX CLASS!
Shark Bait Dive Club Nitrox Class: SBDC has a special deal on a PADI Nitrox certification class for club members. On March 26, 2009 Mark and Debbie Wolff will be teaching nitrox at UWP (160 S. Union Blvd.). They have arranged that club members may receive a $25.00 discount off the regular class fee. The class fee is normally $100.00. When you call to register mention Shark Bait and get the class for only $75.00!! The materials include a book, video and nitrox tables. The material cost is $84.34 and there is a $35.00 processing fee for the C card. The total cost of the course is $194.30 instead of the usual $219.30. (Note: if a couple takes the course together they obviously only need 1 video, so the material fee for the second person is $56.10 for a total of $328.40 per couple). There is homework that must be completed prior to class. Call UWP at 303-988-6725 to register for this special class and pick up your materials.

Reef Fish and Coral Spawning - There is so much happening on the reef, it's hard to believe! Are those fish chasing one another? - or is there something more going on?? How do corals reproduce? When do they spawn? All of these questions and more will be answered at the next Shark Bait Dive Club meeting. Come join us. Mark and Debbie Wolff have a great new power point presentation based on the reproduction chapter of Ned DeLoach's Fish Behavior book. The presentation incorporates pictures from their Bonaire Coral Spawning trip last fall.

Mark and Debbie have been diving since 1994. They became PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors in 2001, Master Scuba Diver Trainers in 2003 and in 2008 became EFR Instructor Trainers. They also teach CPR and First Aid classes and in their spare time run a Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Massage business in Lakewood. They have about 500 dives and have dived in Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Bonaire, Bonne Terre, Cayman, Cozumel, Fiji, Florida, Galapagos, Jamaica, Puget Sound, St. Lucia, Socorro and that truly wonderful dive destination AURORA RES!! They escort group dive vacations and their next trip is in June to Lembeh Indonesia with a side trip to Bali. If you are interested in becoming a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or taking a specialty course in Night, Deep, Dry Suit, Altitude, Navigation, or Peak Performance Buoyancy, they will be doing training at the Blue Hole in May.
