Man drowns in lake in Otter Tail County | INFORUM | Fargo, ND

VERGAS, Minn. – A man drowned in a west-central Minnesota lake Saturday while scuba diving with a friend, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Deputies were called at 5:10 p.m. about a male in the water at the public access point of Lake Seven, or Scalp Lake, northeast of Vergas. The victim’s friend could not find the man in the water. His body was found by authorities on the lake bottom about 20 minutes later, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office has not identified the victim, and said Saturday night that the incident remains under investigation.
