Hi everyone, just thought I'd log on and check ya'll out. Had a great time at Vortex last weekend. I met some great people, was made to feel really welcome by Carolyn "the shark lady", and ate some great food. One member brought Farm raised quail, stuffed with cream cheese and spices, wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection. It was scrumptious.
Me and my son also had some of the best "hog" sausage and some wonderful boston butt!! The dj sang a mean karaoke and the members partied till midnight. Divers are usually a nice bunch, but ya'll were especially friendly open and we had great time. Me and my son had our first night dive ever and are hooked!!! Welcome to the scuba board,i missed the stuffed quail that sounds good,I cooked the Boston butt and filled up on that and had a great time down there,we have another get together at vortex in october,the vortoberfest.I have never seen so many divers as were diving Saturday at vortex,it became hard to keep up with my buddy,had to get down in the cavern to get away from most of them.

Welcome to the 'Board! I had to work last weekend so missed out on the party, but I should be there in October. Let me know when you guys are in the area again and we'll hit some of the other local springs.
