I have just observed you said "counter-clockwise", and decided to try again. I have observed that I can rotate it, but not when fully pressed (it rotates somewhere at the middle of a full movement), and i would say less than 1/8, but it locks anyway.

I have observed that I can rotate it, but not when fully pressed (it rotates somewhere at the middle of a full movement), and i would say less than 1/8, but it locks anyway.How do you turn the purge button? I also have a G250V, I read about this in my manual, and I have tried with no luck to turn the button.
I have tried to push it inside, then rotate my finger over it in both directions- nothing happened. It just doesn't want to rotate. Then I have tried to use a more gentle push and rotate, with no luck again. Then I have event tried to rotate the purge button from the normal state. Again, no luck.
So.. how do you really turn it?
