Yes put that 16mm wide angle lens (no need for a wide angle add-on lens) behind a matched 8 inch U/W dome port and its the end of story... But then isnt this just like the high end DSLRs like the Canon and Nikons? But with better sound? DSLRs have the same size chip and the lens are interchangeable, and they have HD 1080. This may be Sony's answer to the Nikon and Canon DSLRs.

Another killer app from Sony...same interchangeable lens (16mm) but with a smaller body. 1080 HD plus 14mp stills! It pays to hold off on getting an U/W video system until the dust settles. If I had to get a system for now, I would go with the GoPro for less cost, until they make a housing for the Sony.
