In using either the DR 2500 or Hurricane I mount the regs sideways so that the ports face the length of the tank. Using a 15" LP hose; I run it from the bottom port on the left-hand reg under my shoulder strap (across the chest) to the inflator. I have attached a loop of shock cord to my inflator which I clip to a d-ring on the right shoulder strap. This prevents the inflator from dangling or moving and prevents errant loops of hose. The inflator is always on my chest, below my chin and I never have issues finding it.
