I am so sorry to hear that. I actually did have thoughts of trying to couple a reunion and some diving with you at some date in the future. You get well!
 
The pneumothorax from a biopsy should resolve fairly quickly.

Once you know what the cell type is, and you are staged, you will know how to assess your risks. If you have small cell, for example, you have something fairly curable, and taking any undue risks diving would not make much sense.

Other cell types, other staging, would change the prognosis, and change the risk assessment.

Taking a little time to gather all the information you can is well worth it.
 
this time its my left lung.2 weeks ago it was my right lung collapse
i have non small cell in lower right lobe, and pet scan showed something in left lung
had needle ct scan biopsy which caused collapse after 15 hrs-agony!!!!!
i'm hoping its still residule infection that showed
