..........What the OP needs to do is go on & schedule that '1st' blue water trip-----------then the hooks'll be in so deep he'll never get them out......

TrunkMonkey is right! I took a Discover Scuba course while in St Thomas this Jan and was hooked! Gave up my 14 year attempt at windsurfing (2 weeks a year in Aruba) to focus on this... Gonna do a bunch of diving in Aruba in early Dec then do the Rescue Diver. thing in STT in Jan or Feb
