I'll be diving Yap and Palau in a few weeks (Yap with Manta Ray Bay Resort/Yap Divers, Palau on the Tropic Dancer). Should I bring my full foot fins, or booties+strapon fins?

I'm pretty comfortable with both. I just don't know if for Palau I'll want the less-warm properties of the full-foot, or the more-propulsion properties of the open-heel.

I have never been a fan of full foot fins. They have always failed to generate the same thrust for me. I have never been in a situation where water was too warm for my feet!!! I still wear a very light sock type boot for my scubapro fins only because they have a very tight foot pocket.

If it was me I would go with an open heel fin with boots.
