Under Captain Brian Chap's leadership and watchful eyes, the crew was extremely safety-minded on board, and the crew went to great efforts to make the cruise enjoyable (offering personal mentoring of coral formations and fish observed as well having wonderful senses of humor); Divemasters Tian and "CNN" were very safety conscious and professional when doing the dive briefings and guiding the dives: "Motley" on the other hand was a bit too "flip" during the briefings, and was not as observant of other divers during the dives he lead--in fact there was one dive led by "Motley" that should have been aborted when currents were too strong even for advanced divers. Other than that "Motley's" divemastering, I had a most enjoyable time as did all the other divers on my trip. True, there were some divers who were disappointed for not seeing HUGE fish, as they had expected, but otherwise everyone felt that safety considerations were more than adequate. Sorry, your trip wasn't as enjoyable.... Would I do another Peter Hughes trip? Certainly!! And since I enjoyed the diving in Tobago a lot, and found the captain's flexibility to move when the currents might prove challenging to safety, I'd even recommend them highly.
