Brentwood man killed in tragic Cornwall diving accident
A man from Brentwood has been killed in a diving accident while on holiday in Cornwall.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was diving at a popular summer spot off Porthallow Beach near Falmouth just before 1pm on Saturday (September 24) when tragedy struck.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics sent to the scene by a rescue helicopter, the man could not be revived.

It is understood that he had suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after ascending too rapidly with a fellow diver.

The other diver was taken for recompression treatment.
