This EXACT scenario has happened at least twice while Ive been at the bridge, both times involving a sheriff's officer. No lie. No diver should go under the fishing pier and according the the officer they will arrest anyone who does

Ok sidetrack time!

Wadespage and many other divers recommend exploring the pier. I also know many divers that have posted pictures of that very area on this forum. Now I've only dove the East side so far, how are you supposed to stay away from the pier yet tour that area?
