Hello!

I am planning to spend some nights between Rangiroa and Fakarava. The idea was to dive 2 days Rangi pass (Tiputa), 2 days in Fakarava south pass (Tumakohua) and 2 days in Fakarava North pass (Garuae).

Is in your opinion a good balance? I was also thinking taking a day off Garuae and add a day to Tiputa, just to balance back to Rangi.

Has anyone done both?

Thanks!

I've done both but only one day in each. We enjoyed Rangiroa a lot more but I think if you have time to get to some of the more exotic spots in Fakarava it might be different. We only had one day in each, on a cruise.

Did a drift dive in Rangiora and was the most impressive drift dive to date. Looking up and thousands of sharks just blew me away. Was my first real doubles dive and got me back into this hobby after about a 5 year dry spell.
