Reel line

I need to re-spool my reel. What type of line should I use and where can I buy it from online?

Cave Line or Nylon Braided Line. #24 is common for cave, some people prefer #36 for wreck reels (thicker). You can buy it here http://www.reefscuba.com/ropewebbing.htm

I was reading somewhere that nylon line floats. Or do I have this backwards and it sinks?

Nylon line sinks , it is the other line that floats and is not the best to use since it is easyer to get entangled into it if it free floats.

mattmexico is right on and reef scuba that hermosadive recommended is great. I've bought reels and line from them over the years and they are awesome.

I just bought some there a week ago after briefly checking around on prices. I only live 5 minutes from them too, so that was a bonus. You won't often find better pricing on hardware than Reef.
