Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am going to AKR in May. We agonized over CCV and AKR, actually booked CCV and then changed to AKR. Your report was excellent and made me glad that we made the change. We love to dive, but love to have something to do in the afternoons. I can't wait to visit the dolphins in the afternoon!

Thanks for the report on ARK. My wife and I will be there from March 5 - March 12 and are getting excited for the trip. I was thinking of skipping the night dives until reading your post, so thanks for that. Glad to hear you had a great time diving, hopefully our trip will be as much fun...

AKR was my first trip to the islands, a 10 day trip over Christmas of 1989. It was a great way to get introduced to the salt water side of the sport. It was also my wife's first trip, a few years earlier than mine, before we knew each other. That DC3 that you dove on in the channel was still a wreck at the end of the unpaved runway when she was there. And I flew in from San Pedro Sula on a DC3 on my trip, as they weren't landing jets there yet. It's good to hear that AKR is still the same low key resort that they were 15 years ago.
