This is a short clip from Roatan (night dive and not edited). It's just a clip. We just got back and it's going to take quite some time to end up with the final edit. I was so excited, both shooting this clip and viewing it that I wanted to share it. It may be my luckest u/w encounter so far. The clip is titled "Night of the Eel"

I'm sorry for the visual quality as it was compressed to upload to google, but you'll get to see what I saw.

That may very well have to do anyone for a lifetime. What was that... chuckling by the eel with his good fortune?

Anyone who says they are distracted or repulsed by a strong dive light has never seen them to use it while hunting.

Nicely done. Yowzah.

Really, really cool. Now i have a strong urge to take a trip to Roatan.

Nobody needs to go to Roatan, there is only one eel on the whole reef and NAIB just happened to film him. In reality, that was probably filmed at the Aquarium in Baltimore and posted as being from Roatan. Just to confirm that there is actually no marine life on the reefs surrounding Roatan my investigational team will be there in mid-June to perform another very detailed survey. (I can't wait!) Save your money and go diving Chesapeak Bay...the water is clearer and the marine life more diverse. If you need more information just check out this link...

Great video NAIBdiver1, it is truely amazing what one can see if you are patient and willing to wait. Hope the rest of the video turns out as well as this clip. Thanks again for sharing!

We will be there from June 17 thru June 24. We're staying at the Reef House Resort down in Oak Ridge. Looks like we'll just miss each other...

If you run into that guy you may need to pull your dive knife!
