Whether its nudibranchs and rhinopias you’re after, or manta rays and schooling fish, this cruise really has it all. DETAILED PACKAGE INFORMATION:

At the Arenui, we are proud and thrilled to have transformed a dream into reality: diving cruises without the hardship. With 22 crew serving a maximum of 16 guests, we aim to make your cruise a truly relaxing and first-class experience.

Regarding the cruise itinerary, the “Bali-Labuanbajo” 11 night cruise explores all the major dive sites of Komodo National Park. This includes 3 not-to-be-missed dive destinations (Pulau Mojo/Satonda, Bima Bay and Pulau Sangean) located between Bali and Komodo.

A quick note on diving in Komodo: This famous dive destination is located within the Coral Triangle, an area that boasts the world’s highest marine biodiversity. Situated 200 nautical miles east of Bali, in the Lesser Sunda Islands, the Komodo National Park has a total land area of 75,000 hectares and encompasses a number of islands, the largest of which is Komodo (34,000 hectares). A total of 112,500 hectares of the surrounding waters is also under the jurisdiction of the park rangers, allowing for the protection of over 1,000 species of fish and hundreds of different corals.

In terms of water temperature and recommendations for wetsuits, on the Komodo cruise you can expect 25C+ (80F+) so usually a 3mm wetsuit is fine but the southern dive sites in Komodo can drop down to 20-25C (70-75F) so some guests prefer a 5mm with hood.

If you are not familiar with the Arenui, without doubt we can boast one of the finest crews in Indonesia. Our 3 Indonesian divemasters (Ali, Toby and Wawan) are rated amongst the most knowledgeable in the region. Ali was trained for many years by Larry Smith (“the legend” of Indonesian’s diving industry), Wawan has spent several years diving Raja Ampat and Komodo areas and Toby has an amazing knack for spotting rare critters (famous for being the first to spot the psychedelic frogfish in Ambon Bay). The whole operation is led by our 2 highly experienced western cruise directors, Jerry and Debbie.

Furthermore, you can rest assured that besides our very experienced divemasters and cruise directors, we have a further 18 well-trained crew members onboard from captains and engineers to masseurs and our 3 chefs (offering local and international gourmet meals, with vegetarian options on request). Most of the crew have vast experience working on other liveaboards operating in the area, but prior to the Arenui’s very first cruise every member, of staff was trained so their skill and performance would meet our high standard of operation.
