SeaLife recently released a new video featuring a number of stunning underwater creature encounters, captured entirely with the new SeaLife Micro HD camera. Armed with the permanently sealed Micro HD and several Sea Dragon Photo/Video/Dive Lights, videographer, PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, and US Coast Guard Licensed Mariner Sean Gillespie was able to shoot video of Caribbean Reef Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Turtles, Rays, and more.
The video shows off the sharp 1080p HD video capabilities of the Micro HD, wide 140-degree field of view, and built-in color correction modes. The powerful effect of Sea Dragon Lights can be seen in much of the footage – the 2000 lumen lights allowed the Micro HD to easily capture bright, vibrant coral and illuminate sharks during night dives.
Unlike small point-of-view or wearable cameras, the Micro HD was designed for divers – with large, intuitive "Piano Key" controls and 4 camera modes for the best color and exposure underwater. The permanently sealed Micro HD also has no chance of ever leaking since it has no latches or openings of any kind. Image and video transfer is done by either the waterproof USB port or wirelessly over a WiFi connection.
Because the video was shot entirely with the Micro HD, it’s an effective selling tool for dive dealers and ideal for incorporating into dive retail spaces to educate consumers while they shop. “This footage allows viewers to get a true sense of the gorgeous underwater video they can expect from the Micro HD,” stated Joshua Gilmour, SeaLife’s Marketing Manager.
The new video is available on the SeaLife YouTube channel and Dealer FTP site, along with a host of other videos displaying SeaLife products and their capabilities. SeaLife dealers are encouraged to embed the video on their website or download it for display in their store.
