What is the difference? Also I have been looking and cannot seem to find the Magnum II evaluated anywhere.... the 2nd stage I am looking at is definately a "2" on the front ....Anyone??

Are you talking about the 5000 series Magnum and the older 3000 series Magnum? What do you want to know about them ? performance ? parts kits ? I can tell you everything you want to know about them.

here goes: first stage is pat no.4226 257 made in usa the front of the 2nd is MagnumII sherwood but it round with below mouth exale port., the octo has the number ce0120 en250, .. The Performance is fine, a little harder than my SP when I checked it out, but reading the magnum reports, I was wondering if this is a "newer" version of the Magnum or a "Rental Shop" version of the same thing??

Really please enlighten me...:06:

The Magnum II was replaced by the Magnum. They are both balanced 1st stages with the Sherwood Dry Air Bleed. You still can get parts for both regs . The Mag II is a good reg , bullet proof.

I know several who have em, they swear by them(as apposed to swearing at them.....)

I bought my Sherwood Magnum II brand new back in 1988. I still use it to this day! I hadn't had it serviced in about 7 years, but was glad to see the part kits were still available when I finally had it serviced last week.
