Is there an easy way to shorten the XS Scuba spring straps? I see that the spring attaches on both ends with threaded screws and nylock washers. I assume that if I undo one side I can cut an inch off the spring I can bend the end out and pass the screw through it again? What about the cave line inside the spring? Has anyone done this before? I dont' want to take the thing apart and then not be able to get it back together.

Thanks,
John

EDIT- never mind... it's as easy as it seems once you take the screw off.
