never used one and never seen one in person....

for some reason the forum won't let me embed pics from facebook, but here's a nomad with PST HP100's on it

rig is the same as it is in sidemount, just with stabilizer plates. Plenty of lift for a 5mm suit with these tanks.

I think that was the one and only time I subjected my poor nomad to backmount singles, but it works just fine. Was my rescue class and doubles weren't allowed due to the rescue tows. PST HP120 for reference on there.

Soft plate means that the tank doesn't try to walk off the ridge, and the two cam bands hold everything in fine. It dives more like a stab jacket than a bp/w in singles since the wing is tied down, but it's not terrible. Even with light doubles I have no issues with it and actually prefer it for lighter doubles than a traditional plate, but that is likely muscle memory with the reversed inflator.

Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate the info. I am looking for an OMS profile side-mount system for my HOG bp/w. I will not be using this for caves or anything like that just OW dives. Does anyone know where to get one, I've only seen it on scuba doctor for 145.00 and have no idea if that is a good price or not. I looked at the dimensions and it should fit nicely. Also read a couple articles and it seems like it will fit and do everything i need it to.

I converted my transpac to sidemount with Butt plate & wing change & wing tethers.
