Frankly, Indonesia is not the same as the Middle East (ME). Especially in the remote areas where most dive spots are, terrorism risk is extremely low. Most rural Muslims in Indo are more concerned about daily community stuff then a war in ME. We should know -- we spend alot of time in Pulau Weh, Aceh.
The prob is branding. Coz IS calls itself "Islamic State" instead of a less relatable Arabic name, I suspect many Muslims are reluctant to vocally denounce them, in case it sounds like they are denouncing their own religion. Especially tricky when they don't really know whats going on there. It's a similar problem when people unfairly equate Muslims in general to Islamic State. The regional context btw Muslims in Indonesia & IS is simply too different!
