I am currently using a Sony P150 with a MPK-PHB housing and am trying to do a bit of research on a strobe setup for this camera, any help would be much appreciated.

1. Is syncing the strobe with the internal flash the only way of triggering the external strobe?

2. If the above method is used for firing a strobe does that mean that the strobe has to be manually setup for each shot? (I have seen that some of them have aperture settings)

3. Could someone explain what TTL means, I know it means Through The Lens but I am not sure what this relates to, or if it would have any relevance to the setup I am using.

Another other info would be a huge help, the more information I can absorb the better.

Good morning Ed,

I believe with your camera & housing, a Fiber Optic cord is the only way to fire an external strobe. Using this method, strobe adjustments will be all manual unless you buy the Inon D2000. The D2000 mimics your camera's on-board flash thus it is called TTL by Inon. Manual control of your strobes is no big deal with digital. Once you take a pic....view it....adjust....reshoot.

Here is a link to find which strobes are compatible with your camera:

Thanks very much. I don't suppose you would know of any resources for the optical trigger?
