Diver dies in hospital after being rescued off South Devon coast | This is South Devon
A diver who was rescued unconscious off the South Devon coast this morning has died.
The man, aged 53, surfaced unconscious in Fairy Cove, Paignton, at around 11.40am this morning.

Torbay’s inshore lifeboat was tasked to the incident after the man got into difficulty while diving in the bay.
Lifeboat crews and fellow divers brought the man ashore to Paington Harbour slipway where ambulance crews were waiting.
He was taken to Torbay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Devon and Cornwall Police said they are investigating death, although they said it was not deemed to be suspicious.
A police spokesperson said: "An enquiry is ongoing to establish the exact nature of the incident.
"The diver is from out of area and was diving with a group of friends at the location."
