Here I was leaping into threads without even introducing myself to the board... how rude of me! I'm a PADI OWSI -- just had my IE last month. I'll be working in Cayman when (if) my work permit ever goes through... ah, bureaucracy! For now I'm hanging around back home (in Baltimore, MD), trying to keep out of trouble and feeling quite homesick for that fabulous viz and deep blue water. You can call me a warm-water pansy if you want, but somehow, quarry diving just isn't the same... give me a nice wall any day...*grin*

Night diving is one of my alltime favourites, and I'm quite interested in getting a bit more involved with tech diving, although I fear that will have to wait for some time when I'm not quite so broke. At any rate, a pleasure to meet you all -- I'd been getting desperate to find some likeminded crazies to go on (and on and on and on) with about the underwaterworld. Maybe it's just that pesky longterm nitrogen damage, but somehow I've been accused of boring my nondiving friends with endless (rather onesided) discussions involving the merits of this or that BC and That Story About That One Time I Was Diving And...

...well, I will try to restrain myself, promise! Happy to be here... safe diving to all ^_^

Aloha and welcome to the board!

Don't you dare restrain yourself! You're a perfect fit for Scubaboard! Welcome home.

(Of course, reading your post made me wish that I was outside, in the ocean, rather than here in the office, but that's just the way it goes, eh?

Hope to cross paths soon, preferably underwater,
Grier

welcome aboard, damsel... for a second there i thought i was loosing my eyesight
reading your post, though :eyebrow:

Welcome to the board Damsel!

You have found a place where people are just as excited about hearing dive stories as they are about telling them, no restraining necessary!

Good Diving,
Mike
