SSI vs. PADI wich one.

Well after meeting with instructors with the ssi program ive desided to go with that. Also one advantage is they have there own dive pool indoors. 1st class setup. The padi class i would have had to take class at store on some nights and go to a pool 45 min away to do the water classes.

Is there a difference in cost, PADI vs. SSI?

padi 165 and 65 for books
ssi 199 and 70 for books.

I did mine through SSI, and just fyi, i have looked into taking some more advanced courses at other shops out of town (im a college student), both NAUI and PADI shops readily allow swapping between programs.
