Oh geez, does anyone have more details? This is not turning out to be a good spring at all for the NW. All I heard on the radio was someone died, and AP is reporting this:

By Associated Press STEILACOOM, Wash. (AP) - A man has drowned on a recreational scuba dive off Sunnyside Beach in this town south of Tacoma.

****, 38 of Olympia, experienced an undetermined problem underwater and lost consciousness while diving with a partner Saturday night, Public Safety Director Bob Drozynski said.

**** partner pulled him to shore and he was taken to St. Claire Hospital, where he died.

Drozynski said the area is frequently used for recreational and instructional diving, adding that the death was the first off Sunnyside Beach in more than six years.

Well, at least his buddy was there. Sounds like it may have been a medical issue, based on the sketchy details. But, pure speculation.

Sorry to hear about this. I'd be surprised if we heard any more about it, though.
