What are the chances of encountering a box jellyfish on the outer barrier reef in late september?

I've heard conflicting reports on when the season starts

Nil. Box jellies come out of the estuaries and are coastal so it would be rare to see them even during the height of the season. Late September is a bit too early to even see them on the coast.
