You've mentioned the importance of a normal accent in the past. What is a normal accent? In America, that is probably the general American accent as pronounced by newscasters on TV. Because of their need to get people excited enough about bland news, they do have to impart importance to what they are saying, so they probably do speak in exclamation points.
So, is a normal accent the way a language is pronounced by the general population, except with exclamation points?
