It was in 92' about 8 months after i got out of the service.

Not working in the field, i work for the family company.

I would have to say its one of the most memorable things i ever did, i met great people and had more fun than i ever expected. Of course it cost me about 15K for Commercial diver traing and NDT training. No regrets though.

cost me about 15K
Too bad Young Memorial didn't have their commercial diving program going, tuition for that is about $1500 (it's a state owned school).

Hey, if the hats are investment cast, it should be no problem cranking out a brass one, or sterling silver...
What we really need is a good cheap polypropylene (milk jug plastic) hat.

Yeah i saw that school listed in a search i did. They get high marks form alot of people, thats the place to go IMHO.

Pretty much what i have heard about this Chinese knock off of the superlite...

I will try to find the link I think someone posted it on longstreath a while back...

Man this helmet dives nice, fits nice and snug, cyclon regulator makes it easy to breath and parts are pretty widely available, a totaly dry dive, very favorable recommendation.

This sounds very interesting. A few questions:
1. What time would the class start on the 12th? And what time would it end on the 14th?
2. What prerequisites are there (specific certifications necessary? previous number of scuba dives? etc)
3. What certification is issued?
