I don't think it is a violation symbol. It's a diver attention symbol. If you were in violation I think you would have Er on the screen. This will happen if your Surface Interval is short, (I think <60 min). Page 63 in the cobra manual gives I little description about the diver attention warning. This has happend to me a few times as well.

I have one on my Cobra from a dive with a 1:06 surface interval, so that's not it, at least not in this case.
Near as I can figure it has to do with too quick of an ascent at the very end of the previous dive -- perhaps I hopped up on the boat's steps too quick?
